Where Good Books Are Grown

About Baobab

Baobab Press's mission is to contribute to the arts and letters of our local and global community by embracing the best in traditional publishing through the tools of today. We are interested in story, whether it be poetic, pictorial, fictional or essay and the relationship between publisher and author/artist. It is in this sandbox of development, design and edit which we are invested and hope to create books that inspire, bring joy, challenge and remember the talent and potential in our world.

Baobab Press is the result of over thirty years of independent bookselling and graphic design. Baobab Press was founded from the profound influence of Barbara Anne Broderson Kelly and her dedicated belief in the power of reading and literacy for all. It is through the art and the edit of books that we hope to continue her faith in the individual's capacity to discern, debate, improve and find joy.
